Collagen Lattes + Matcha!

Hello everyone!

I am obsessed with this new drink I've been making every morning. It starts with a nice cuppa joe, which provides a solid energy boost, plus there are all kinds of things you can add to make it extra special. When I go all out with this drink, it's seriously just as good as a Starbucks! Maybe not a full-fat, decadent Starbucks, but one of the low-sugar kinds.

I really love making this because I feel like it's not only a boost to my metabolism and energy levels, but it's got a big scoop of collagen in it to enhance my skin and keep me looking youthful.

Ingredients

Standard cup of coffee
Collagen powder (I use Collagen Protein Peptides from Vital Proteins)
Half and Half (or you can use heavy whipping cream if you're keto, like my sister does)
A liberal sprinkling of cinnamon
(Optional) Sugar-free, zero-calorie syrup (like vanilla, caramel, or hazelnut)

Brew a cup of coffee. Meanwhile, prepare a blender cup with one tablespoon collagen, cinnamon, cream, and syrup. Pour coffee into cup, cap, then blend until everything is nicely mixed. Enjoy!

I'll also make matcha lattes on occasion, but don't favor them as much as the collagen lattes. If you wanted, you could follow a similar recipe substituting the matcha for the coffee and include the collagen. I wouldn't use syrup, though. I can't see that meshing too well with the earthy matcha flavor!
